INTRODUCTION

Tax Identification Number (TIN) application can now be made online and the process is free. It is impossible to pay your tax or open a corporate bank account without your tax identification number. The body regulating tax administrations in Nigeria is the Joint Tax Board (JTB), while the regulatory agency in charge of issuing Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) for companies is the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). The State Inland Revenue Service is responsible for the Issuance of taxpayer ID and Tax clearance certificate to individual taxpayers. HOW TO REGISTER FOR COMPANY/BUSINESS TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER ONLINE

-          Firstly, visit https://tin.jtb.gov.ng/TinRequestExternal and fill the form.

-          Fill out the TIN application form.

-          Provide your business registration number

-          Business Name Registration Certificate

-          Business name, address, e-mail, Phone number

-          Business Sector

-          Date of Commencement

-          Provide the company’s business address

-          Certificate of Incorporation.

-          Copy of memorandum and articles of association

-          Location and Date of Incorporation

-           Directors Details

-          Active email address
